Join us two Tuesday evenings a month to view and discuss Bishop Robert Barron’s video program, Catholicism.
This group is free!! But please register with Carol Daun at cdaun@stmattoc.org. Bishop Barron’s program takes you to over 50 locations to deepen your understanding of the Catholic Faith. Starting from the essential foundation of Jesus Christ’s incarnation, life, and teaching, Bishop Barron moves through the defining elements of Catholicism--from sacraments, worship, and prayer, to Mary, the Apostles, and Saints, to grace, salvation, heaven, and hell. Whether discussing Scripture or the rose window at Notre Dame, he uses his distinct and dynamic grasp of art, literature, architecture, personal stories, theology, philosophy, and history to present the Church to the world.
Beginning Sept. 21st, we meet at St. Matthew Parish from 6:30-8 pm. Exact location TBD based on number of participants. We will continue to meet every other week: Sept. 21, Oct. 5th, Oct. 19th, Nov. 9th, and Nov. 23rd to watch the presentations.
There is no “homework” with this series. Each session stands alone, so if you cannot join us one evening, you can always return at the next session. | 6 Rosary

Friday,October 8 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Cafeteria. Advance tickets $10.50 (in parish office) Children 3-12 $4.00, At-the-door/Carry-outs $11.00. (Hot dogs are available for the kids). Help is needed on Thursday, October 7, 6:00-8:00 PM to prepare vegetables, and on Friday,October 8, 2:00-8:00 PM to set-up and serve. Help out as long as you can! We really need help for clean up when the Fish Boil is over! (approx. 6:30 until 8:00 PM Friday). | 9 |

Pet Blessing
Do you have a pet that you dearly love that you would love to do something nice for? In commemoration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Matthew Parish will be offering a pet blessing! Bring your pets to St. Matthew’s parking lot on Sunday, October 10th be-tween 11:30 am and 12:30 pm and Deacon Steve Kramer will give them a quick blessing. Helping a loved one live with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and other mental illnesses is very challenging. You are invited to join us Thursday, October 28, from 7:00-8:00pm in the Saints Rooms for a confidential place to listen, share, and pray for each other as we support our loved one(s) through the struggles associated with mental illness. This is not a counseling group, but a faith inspired support group.
