Reaching Out Committee

Plans and facilitates the monthly collection and distribution of needed items to different agencies in the community that serve families and individuals in need.  Each month, we collect items for a different local agency (please see below).  These items may be brought to church and left in the large, wooden "Reaching Out" container located in the main hallway outside of the church.   For more information, please contact  Jane Januszewski  ([email protected]).

Monthly Collection Items 

January: Meta House - Diapers, baby wipes, art supplies, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, hats, mittens, slippers, adult board games, laundry baskets, journals.

February: Just One More Ministries - Non-perishable food items and cash donations

March: Franciscan Peace Makers - Personal care items, adults socks, juice boxes, gas cards, bus tickets, grocery store gift cards

April: Milwaukee Street Angels - Flashlights, backpacks, batteries (AA and AAA), new socks and underwear, blankets, body wipes, travel-size deoderant, toilet paper

May: Hope House - Children's books, art supplies, school supplies, educational games, bath towels, washcloths, laundry detergent, diapers, baby wipes, personal care items

June: Sandwich Sunday Outreach - lunch bags, baggies, juice boxes, small bags of chips/snacks, store gift cards and cash donations

July: St. Vincent dePaul Ministries - All school supplies, backpacks and cash donations

August: Casa Maria - Juice, baby formula, toilet paper, diapers, children's plastic drinking cups, toys, disposable razors, toiletries, cleaning supplies, clean clothing for men, women and children.

September: South Milwaukee Human Concerns - Non-perishable food items, new or gently used men's, women's and children's clothing, cookware, blankets

October: Women's Care Center & Care Net Pregnancy Center - Diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, bottles, pacifiers, baby hygiene items, toys, baby clothing (newborn-3T), baby blankets/quilts, baby hats, socks, children's books.

November: House of Peace - Children's toys (ages 1-13), new warm jackets, new underwear & socks for men, women and children, t-shirts (all sizes), blankets, hats, mittens, scarves, non-perishable food items, personal care items

December: Guest House - Men's winter wear, men's t-shirts & underwear (small - 3XL), new backpacks, 55 gallon garbage bags, razors, aftershave, cologne, shaving cream, body wash & lotion, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, chess, checkers, dominos, playing cards
